Twin Turbo® is K.A.I.M.
Inc's exclusive trademark name, with
certified registration awarded through
the United States Patent and Trademark Offices.
The Twin Turbo® Web Cleaning
System is a non-contact system capable of
cleaning numerous substrate types (paper,
mylar, etc.) and benefits most printing
processes (offset, flexo., etc.) with only
the exception of those in explosive environments.
Available as a dual-sided web cleaner for
perfecting presses or a single-sided web
cleaner for non-perfecting presses.
Since the
predominant applications tend to be paper
web substrates operating in offset lithography
the explanations provided herein are directed
toward these conditions. As an introductory
overview, we provide the following Twin Turbo® System
highlights:

Versa-Frame™ System |
|
The VERSA-FRAME™ SYSTEM leads the way
by addressing most applications with
an incredibly versatile component package.
By simply mounting a cross bar on your
press, the patented VERSA-FRAME™
SYSTEM clamps on and subsequently allows
the cleaning heads to be swung into numerous
operating positions.

Tool-Less Track™ System |
|
When restrictive application conditions exist,
the Tool-Less Track™ System creates new
installation possibilities. Without
the need of a single tool, the patented
Tool-Less Track™
cleaning heads can be installed or removed
from the press at floor level on its integral
wheels in two to three minutes.

The Cleaning Roller |
|
At a tangential proximity
(non-contact) to the web, the cleaning
roller provides a dual action cleaning
methodology. On the downstream side of
the cleaning roller, venturi like airflow
characteristics remove paper dust form
the web. Simultaneously, on the upstream
side of the cleaning roller, a negative
pressure directs the paper dust
contaminated airflow into receiving features
incorporated in our VENTECH II™ TUNED
HOODS.

Ventech II™ Tuned
Hoods |
|
By engineering in high
efficiency airflow patterns featuring loop
scavenging techniques VENTECH II™ TUNED
HOODS lower overall vacuum requirements. With
the cleaning roller operating in an optimized
negative atmosphere, capturing of paper
dust is maximized and can operate for years
without maintenance.

Dust
Collection Vacuum |
|
Either in-house vacuum
or an optional dust collector can be utilized.
The only function of the vacuum source
is to route the captured paper dust to
its final point of collection.

Electrical Controls |
|
NEMA/CE rated components,
selectable programs, and operator-free functionality provides a "set
it and forget it" operating platform.
